Relax. Eat. Sleep. Enjoy.
The Milkshed is a multi-award-winning old stone barn which has been converted to provide luxury and comfortable holiday accommodation for up to four guests (plus cot). It is nestled in the Blackdown Hills in East Devon, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - with the market town of Honiton just a few minutes' drive and the beautiful Jurassic Coastline nearby, The Milkshed is within easy reach of numerous days out, whilst retaining the tranquillity of a countryside bolthole.
There are two bedrooms (one with kingsize bed and one which can be made up as a twin or a super-king), two bathrooms and a wonderful open plan sitting room/dining area and kitchen with Nespresso machine. The property is modern, light and spacious and is all on one level, making it accessible to all.
Special features include a wood burning stove, underfloor heating throughout and a freestanding claw bath in the master bedroom. The property is eco-friendly and both hot water and heating are provided by a state of the art biomass log-burning boiler. We also have a hot tub - perfect for star-gazing!
The private garden is large and enclosed - it includes a lawned area, herb garden and sitting area. Guests are also welcome to use our 4-acre meadow for walking, playing or simply relaxing.
One of the owners is a fully trained chef to Michelin level and is happy to provide gourmet dinners, seasonal picnic hampers or a simple welcome dinner on request so that you can sit back and relax without worrying about the cooking.
