We are delighted to be back open again after another lockdown! We are fully booked this Summer so have opened our 2022 calendar early for those wanting to pre-book their holiday for next year. With the rise in demand for staycations in the UK please register interest for your dates now to avoid disappointment.
We have had a lovely stay at The Milkshed. Beautiful setting and a lovely comfortable place to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed your homecooked pizza on our first night and we've loved the hot tub, garden and swings!Thank you for having us and for all the extra special touches - all very much appreciated. August 2020
Thank you for such a warm welcome to such a special place. The boys loved exploring your meadow, swinging under the old oak tree and chatting to the chickens. We appreciated the delicious cake on arrival, and the little touches that made it feel like a home from home. A special thank you to Mark for installing the 'foil blind' - it meant that the boys woke us at 6am rather than 5am! July 2020
What an amazing holiday we have had at The Milkshed. Our boys really didn't want to leave. We have loved exploring in the meadow, running around the lake after the ducks and swinging in the tree. Katie and Mark have really looked after us and we have eaten some beautiful food. Three years after our first stay at The Milkshed it has been lovely to see how the grounds have developed and matured and what a special place The Milkshed still is. We only wish we could stay longer! July 2020
We have completed our Visit England 'Good to go' certification - we have completed a risk assessment, amended our cleaning protocols and written a Covid-19 policy in preparation for re-opening this weekend. We are ready to welcome guests and can't wait!
Our resident mallards have some fluffy additions to the family! It is so lovely watching them grow and learn. Visiting families are always so excited when new babies arrive.
CORONAVIRUS update 11/05/20: We have decided to accept provisional bookings from July 2020 onwards. Instead of our usual 25% deposit on booking with balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival, we will be asking for a £50 booking fee with the balance due one week prior to arrival. The £50 booking fee will be taken off your final balance should your holiday be able to go ahead. In the event of the government extending restrictions and your holiday not being able to go ahead, we will be happy to transfer the £50 booking fee to a later date.
It doesn't have to be Summer for the beach to be fabulous! A happy few hours spent at local beach, Branscombe. A walk and some pebble finding, followed by a lovely lunch at the Sea Shanty cafe on the beach. Blew the cobwebs away!
